Stuck Negatives
In the same envelope I found about a dozen negatives which were solidly stuck together. There was little hope of separating and rescuing them, but I decided to try as there was not much to lose. Following the advice from photrio.com I put the negatives in a glass jar and soaked them in distilled water with a few drops of Photo Flo. The jar was left in the fridge for three days receiving a gentle swirl once or twice a day. Some emulsion started to flake away and dissolve, so I replaced the solution several times. Surprisingly, this simple technique worked and with some effort and loss of emulsion on the edges I was able to separate the negatives. The ones on the outsides of the stack were lost but here are the remaining images.
